Potential singers: Auditions are going to be held on Wednesday at 5:15pm. If you are unable to attend on Wednesday, please email me, and I will try to organise a separate time for you.
All of you planning to audition need to prepare a song, which you are comfortable singing unaccompanied. There are no restrictions as to what you can sing, though you should try to choose something that will show off your voice as best as possible. Just as a general rule, jazz, pop, soul, RnB, blues and musical theatre are good genres for this, while hip hop and rock are not. If you are really struggling to find a song, please email me directly, and I can give some specific song recommendations, though please don't leave this until the day of the audition.
Above all, please don't stress yourself out about the audition - it is not meant to be formal and scary. Just pick a song you like, practice it in the shower over the weekend, and do your best.
